A piece for "New York is Book Country" some years back. It's an incredible annual event where parts of NYC are blocked out and there are signings in the middle of the streets. I was on Madison near 57th and signed for a couple of hours. The Superman and Batman here are less rendered than normal to look a bit more "cartoony" and open so as to be more "civilian" friendly. On almost all the promo art I do for DC--I'm asked to make all the characters, esp Superman look more happy. I'm so used to drawing the scowl on Batman that it makes it tough to draw him another way...sometimes I manage a small, knowing grin on him heh.
Mr. Lee you need to write an entire manual to HOW TO DRAW COMIC BOOKS BY THE JIM LEE WAY with all the secrets to draw like you, this will be a LEGACY and a BEST SELLER forever!
